Meet Michael B. Salin, DMD
Dr. Michael Salin is a board-certified oral surgeon who enjoys restoring his patients’ comfort, confidence, and oral health through the highest level of care he can provide.
About Dr. Salin
From Landsdale, Pennsylvania, Dr. Michael Salin has always been a natural problem-solver and is passionate about helping people. He loved to tinker and rebuild things as a kid and being surrounded by a family of surgeons, dentists, and teachers, pursuing oral surgery was a natural fit. As a surgeon, he can solve problems with that same creative talent with the primary goal of helping others.
Dr. Salin wanted to join a practice with an excellent reputation in the community that referring providers and patients trusted. He joined Dr. Charles Nissman in private practice, who became his mentor and taught him a higher level of surgery and how to operate a practice successfully. This practice became Innovative Oral Surgery & Dental Implants, where Dr. Salin provides top-notch care on a foundation of trust and clinical excellence.
Dr. Salin finds that children feel nervous about surgery because they don’t know what to expect. When working with children, he gives them tours of the surgical and recovery rooms and lets them sit in the chair. Doing so introduces the patient to surgery in a non-threatening way and helps control their active imaginations, leading to a much calmer experience.
The most rewarding aspect of Dr. Salin’s profession is that he continuously works to perfect his skills while growing a world-class team. He enjoys hosting educational events and creating learning sessions for peer dentists and residents. His goals are to help people by making them feel comfortable and confident while instilling hope that there are doctors and healthcare professionals who truly care, and where patients are treated as individuals whose feelings and outcomes matter.
